Discover the GVFFC Flyshop Experience
Our quaint flyshop, open daily, serves as the rendezvous point for numerous guided trips. Although we operate seven days a week, often beyond typical working hours, we might not always be present. Having helmed a destination flyshop for thirty years, we’ve grown accustomed to the serene intervals between client interactions. We cherish these peaceful moments, which allow us to assess the river, execute a trailer shuttle, tend to our flyboxes, or even sneak in a weekday fishing session. Who could blame us for seizing such opportunities?
We kindly request that you inform us when you plan to visit. While there’s a good chance you’ll find one of us at the shop if you drop by unannounced, giving us a heads-up ensures we can manage our tasks more effectively. Kindly notify us of your intended visit by texting us at 0418 995 611.
By extending this small courtesy, we can guarantee that a team member will be on hand to offer the bespoke service synonymous with GVFFC.
Your Guide to the GVFFC Flyshop
For a hassle-free journey to our shop, follow the detailed directions provided below. Nestled behind the erstwhile original hospital in Alexandra, our store’s entrance is accessible through the old hospital car park from the roundabout at the juncture of Cooper Street and Myrtle Street in Alexandra.
As depicted in the image below, enter the old hospital car park via the roundabout, proceed along the hospital’s fenced perimeter, and you’ll find our parking area approximately 150 metres from the main road. A helpful video clearly outlines this route upon reaching the roundabout.
Once there, you’ll be greeted by a gravelled car park, formerly the Myrtle Street Clinic. Our premises are perched just above, on a gentle incline. Look for the unmistakable 5-metre wide steel gate and a basketball hoop marking our guide rec area and drift boat parking zone.
For assistance, ring us on 03 5773 2513. If you prefer, you can also reach out to us directly on our shop mobile at 0418 995 611.
