Fly Fishing Since 1994
Goulburn Valley Fly Fishing Centre has been guiding and teaching on Victoria’s Goulburn River since 1994. Established in Thornton, we introduced guided floating to the river and built a business around practical teaching, local knowledge and lasting relationships with the people who fish with us.
Based in Alexandra, we offer two-day beginner workshops, private lessons and streamcraft tuition, alongside guided fishing on foot and from our drift boats. Whether you are making your first cast or have fished for years, we shape the day around your experience, interests and the conditions. Join us for a half or full day, or spend several days exploring the Goulburn and surrounding rivers.
Further afield, we host small groups in Southland, New Zealand, Montana and the greater Yellowstone region, and Patagonia. These trips draw on years of experience and longstanding relationships with guides and hosts, bringing together the fishing, accommodation and daily arrangements so you can settle in and enjoy your time away.
Many of our guests have been fishing with us for decades, some since their first lesson. Others come simply to try something new or enjoy a quiet day on the river.
